Fixer Inspo: California Master Bathroom and Kitchen Remodel

Updated: May 19, 2019

As a real estate agent, I see A LOT of homes. Many of them are fixers and sometimes clients can find it difficult to see past the original cabinets, avocado carpet, pink tile, and floral wallpaper (and not the beautiful Anthropologie kind...).

A common question my clients ask is, "Do you think this place can actually look good?" Or they want to know what we can do to make it look better.

I'm an interior decorator and there's nothing I love more than a fixer. It's a chance to put your own spin on a home. And while it’s not for everyone, I hope you can find some good inspiration through these before-and-after shots to see how amazing a fixer-upper can be.

In this post you’ll see photos of a property we remodeled in Walnut Creek. This home was stuck in a major time capsule — circa 1971! We opened it up, brightened it, and added some warmth through gold finishes for balance. What do you think?
